8-Bit Gnomes

From the archives. Rough comps from an internal sales game for the brokers of a medical supplies company.

Its purpose? To test just how well their team knows about the company’s products. Every year a different theme, this particular year being gnomes.

I just gnome you’re going to love these. (Sorry, had to.)

 

Process
Inspired by the popular sub-culture of gnome cross-stitching (who knew?).

Created at a small scale (pixel-by-pixel) in Illustrator, then rasterized and brought into Photoshop to be paired with a digital font and sized appropriately.

Process: The Kitchen & The Garden Patch

Now this is a little old, but I thought you might enjoy seeing some of the process and method behind The Kitchen & The Garden Patch. (For those who don’t know, this is the cookbook I wrote and designed as part of a personal project back in 2010.) You can see the final designs here.
