What an incredible two days. I had the best time and can’t wait to post the music video for you all to see.

What an incredible two days. I had the best time and can’t wait to post the music video for you all to see.

Too many photos from Day 2 of Chester See‘s video shoot! Had to split them up.
Look out for Day 2, Part II (coming tomorrow).

Filmed in and around the garage of some good friends after a wedding in Florida.
All credit for the amazing music goes to The Joy Formidable, not me. This video features their song “Cradle” thejoyformidable.com
Shot with a Canon 7D, compiled in AE CS6 to look like Super8 Film.
Some of my production stills from Day 1 for Chester See’s music video “Whistle While I Work it.”
Had a great time working in the art department drawing graffiti, making fake drinks, leaf-blowing people, and poorly operating the fog machine (it was my first time).

One day, my friend Tim emailed me out of the blue asking “Just curious, do you paint?”
He was looking for someone to paint a ridiculous portrait of Chester See for his upcoming music video shoot. In two days.
Considering the time constraint, I suggested using a trick in Photoshop that manipulates a photograph to simulate the look of a painting.
Nine hours of hand coloring and “painting” later, we had two portraits to feature in the music video.

I also found two (hilariously gaudy) gilded wooden frames on sale at Michaels:

Here’s a preview of the portraits on set:

More behind the scenes photos coming soon!
