I went to Browns Cleaner’s in Santa Monica to meet with Miriam & Lois. I showed them my ideas for their new website, and I got some great shots of the interior that will be put up on the finished site.
Welcoming and warm-hearted, I enjoyed spending the afternoon with these two. They taught me everything I could ever hope to know about high-end garment care. And they both dislike computers & cell phones just as much as I do, which was refreshing.

ALSO, while I was there, I took my 10,000th picture, and my memory card set itself back to 1. Here it is:

My friends over at The Head Shop will be in Arcadia this weekend @ The Pink Parlour Festival in Santa Anita. I hope I can make it! Anyone want to go with me?

I wish they would make me one that says ” going downtown • GRANVILLE • ”

and not upset.
Brian and I have the same phone, so I’m thinking that he just took mine by accident. So I went out and bought a telephone and address book this morning.
If it turns out my phone really is lost, I couldn’t care less. I’m not even sure that I would get a new one. I feel liberated without it. The way I see it, a cell phone is just another form of addiction to technology, hiding under the guise of security and convenience.
It makes a lot of people uncomfortable to think about this

We were doing a shoot for their new album yesterday, and found some random cleaning supplies. Without any prompting, the guys put on all the gear and started posing. Of course I had to take some shots.
They’re so funny, and awesome to work with. We’re putting the finishing touches on their album art; you should see it this month!

ALSO thanks to everyone for getting back to me on my last post. Looks like we’re going with spiral bound!

I’m thinking I would like to do a spiral-bound cookbook instead. It lays flat, and as my friend suggested, a non-clothbound book is more “spill-friendly” in the kitchen.
What do you guys think? Do you like spiral bound?
