Late Post / Brown’s Cleaners

Posted by – February 26, 2010

I had a morning meeting today with Brown’s Cleaners of Santa Monica. We talked about building them a website.

Although they have an excellent reputation for being the best in the business internationally, they have almost no web presence. I’m going to help them along into the wide world of the internet.

UPDATE:

One of the many articles on Browns Cleaners. This one is from the LA Times:

Italian Cialux

Posted by – February 25, 2010

i really would like my cookbook to be cloth covered & foil stamped.

italian cialux is my favorite. i wish these things weren’t so expensive. i might just do it myself, or figure out another way to get the look i want.

but honestly, who doesn’t love a cloth covered book? they’re so special. anyone with me on this?

Beyond Civilization

Posted by – February 17, 2010

OK this isn’t about design or photography or art.

But this book is excellent, and I just started it this morning.

If you’re like me, you know that our society is messed up; the way we run things, the way we treat each other, our selfishness and greed and destructive nature.

If you ever wondered if things could be different, but you weren’t sure how, you should read this. It’s quick. I’ve also heard from Brian that Daniel Quinn’s Ishmael is also excellent, and Beyond Civilization is more of an overview to get you thinking.

Enjoy!
