Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit & Chuck Prophet poster. They sort of have a folky, country sound to their music; it only seems appropriate to create a poster to match.

just some thoughts; i will do this in bullet point form. treat it as a series of thoughts, rather than a string of complete sentences

Subject: Humans losing touch with nature encourages & breeds consumerism

• Because they are not in touch with a more rural and natural lifestyle, they are trying to fill the void of the euphoria they are intended to receive from nature

• Because of all of the distractions in modern times (ie television, cell phones, internet/computers, celebrityism, media, etc.) they are influenced heavily by corporations and advertisers

• As a result, like a drug addict, they turn to “buying stuff” as well as hobbies that require the purchase of products to fill their emptiness and continue further the cycle of distraction, as well as debt

• The industrial revolution did nothing for us.

• We’ve lived for hundreds of thousands of years with no cars, computers, or microwaves

• Therefore, we still have the memory of nature inside of us (how it makes us feel, hence the        emptiness at the lack of it)

• Corporations and advertisers know this; they tell us to fill our void with Nike, Toyota, Disney. Whichever they can convince you to become entranced with.

Does anyone feel this way too? Did anyone read the celestine prophecy?

also, check this out, he is brilliant and resourceful. unlike alex jones, he offers solutions to the same voids i just spoke about: www.thesurvivalpodcast.com/
